Releasing energy from the body can involve various physiological processes

Updated: Jul 28

Releasing energy from the body can involve various physiological processes that are supported by scientific evidence, which is why I wanted to provide some scientifically grounded techniques for releasing energy from the body. The reason for this is to unlock the mindset of energy healing.

Physical Exercise: We all understand that engaging in physical activity is one of the most effective ways to release pent-up energy from the body, as well as dense trauma energy. Exercise has been shown to increase the blood flow, oxygenate tissues, and stimulates the release of endorphins, which are a natural mood enhancer. Not bad hey! Scientific studies have shown that regular exercise can reduce feelings of stress and anxiety while promoting relaxation and overall well-being. Any form of enjoyable exercise to get your body moving is good and it doesn't mean you have to hit the gym hard or do intensive exercise, any movement as long as your body is moving is good. The best is when you enjoy it because that's when the real magic can happen with dense energy release.

Deep Breathing: Deep breathing techniques, such as diaphragmatic breathing or belly breathing used in yoga, can help release tension and promote relaxation by activating the body's parasympathetic nervous system. This leads to a decrease in heart rate, blood pressure, and muscle tension and overall relaxation - this is something we all need more of hey! Scientific research has demonstrated that deep breathing can improve respiratory function, reduce stress levels, and enhance feelings of calmness and well-being. See the science is there to support this mediate practice that has been happening for many decades, and some.

Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR): PMR is a relaxation technique that involves tensing and then releasing different muscle groups in the body, I find this useful when releasing anger from the body. This process helps to release physical tension and promote relaxation. Scientific studies have shown that PMR can reduce muscle tension, decrease levels of stress hormones, and improve overall feelings of relaxation and well-being. I how this by simply placing my arms in front and squeezing them tightly, pushing the force from my shoulders forward, then release. I repeat this many times until I get that ahhh feeling. You know that feeling where you feel like your back and shoulders are all wobbly.

Massage Therapy: Massage therapy involves the manipulation of soft tissues in the body to promote relaxation, reduce muscle tension, and alleviate pain. This has been done for many decades too. Scientific research has demonstrated that massage therapy can stimulate the release of endorphins, serotonin, and oxytocin, which are neurotransmitters associated with feelings of relaxation and well-being. Massage therapy has also been shown to reduce levels of cortisol, a stress hormone, and promote better sleep quality. For dense energy release, I find it is best to understand the root of the issue first and then once your at the 'let go' stage have a massage to really release it from the body. This why your body changes its composition and staying in that position for longer.

Yoga and Tai Chi: Yoga and Tai Chi are mind-body practices that combine physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation to promote relaxation and release energy blockages in the body. They again have been done for many decades as these practices get you in touch with your body on a deeper level and its withstood the test of time. Scientific studies have shown that both yoga and Tai Chi can reduce levels of stress hormones, decrease muscle tension, and improve overall feelings of relaxation and well-being. These practices have also been associated with improvements in mood, sleep quality, and immune function. Again, moving our bodies to move the energies around is all we need to do, this is why we have a body after all, to move it.

Acupuncture: Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese healing practice that involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow and promote balance. I have had acupuncture and I instantly felt more relaxed after the needles went in. I could feel the blood flow increase to all areas that needed it. Scientific research has shown that acupuncture can stimulate the release of endorphins and other neurotransmitters, reduce inflammation, and regulate the autonomic nervous system. Not bad hey! Acupuncture has been used to alleviate pain, reduce stress levels, and promote overall well-being.

Reflexology: Reflexology is a practice that involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or ears to promote relaxation and overall well-being. By stimulating these reflex points, the body's natural healing processes are activated, helping to alleviate stress, improve circulation, and restore balance to the body. Reflexology is based on the belief that these reflex points correspond to different organs and systems in the body, and by targeting them, practitioners can address various health issues and enhance the body's ability to heal itself. I can say first hand that reflexology is amazing. It has helped me get more in-tune with my body and has helped me re-balance. At first I never knew I was out of balance until my first session. My body become so conditioned to being more right leg dominate that it adapted to this way of being. It was only after my body was put back into alignment that I realised how out of balance I had been. Its madness, I tell you but it was really worth finding out.

Talking and Communicating: I know talking is not a physical process as such but the energy behind communicating how you think and feel to someone you trust is important when releasing energy from our bodies. This is why I wanted to add this section in as a reminder of how important expressing ourselves fully in our beautiful bodies are and how vital it is for our overall health.

These techniques offer evidence-based approaches to releasing energy from the body and promoting relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being. Incorporating these practices into your daily routine can help you manage stress, improve mood, and enhance your quality of daily life, especially if you are on your healing journey to discover more about who you really are.
